Juan Dicent, que mas se puede decir?

Es un libro jocoso y que toca varias realidades de los inmigrantes latinos especialmente Dominicanos en los Estados Unidos. Con un estilo inteligente Dicent nos trae una obra sin desperdicios.

Winterness fue para m� una sorpresa. No porque esperaba que el trabajo literario del autor fuera malo o porque el libro me sorprendi� asando batata, sino porque lo compr� sin conocer previamente el trabajo de Juan Dicent o a �l mismo. S�lo le� un poco sobre �l al descubrirlo en una entrevista online.
Su libro Winterness te habla relato tras relato sobre estos personajes dominicanos que son nuestros t�os, hermanos, abuelas y primos, pero que nunca en nuestras vidas hemos terminamos de conocer del todo. Te habla de lo que le hace el fr�o a nuestras mentes, de lo que es ser un inmigrante en Ny y sobre lo que no eres al serlo. Cada una de las historias est� cubierta de una sombrilla de nostalgia, tristeza y humor.
Leer sus relatos se siente como un viaje directo a su l�nea de pensamiento, turbulenta, quejumbrosa y observadora.
En fin, me encantaron sus relatos y los volver� a leer, una y otra vez.
Espero ver m�s relatos muy pronto.

Narrativa de todo Dominicano en el exterior

Igual para m� fue una sorpresa maravillosa. Lo compre en un viaje reciente a SDQ en Dise�o Local en la zona como para decir que soy hipster y tengo literatura Dominicana en mi casa. No ten�a expectativas m�s que un libro para decorar la sala, pero desde la primera p�gina me di cuenta que ese no ser�a el caso porque estaba tratando con un genio de las idiosincrasias de ser un Dominicano en el exterior. Alguien que describe situaciones como si fueran experiencias mias, de una manera jocosa e infitnitamente entretenida, al mismo tiempo melanc�licas y profundamente impactantes. Planeo comprar y regalar varias copias a amigos que viven fuera, el �nico lio es que aparezcan.
