It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to read and review Death of the Spirit by Rick Chiantaretto. Death of the Spirit is the second book in the Crossing Death Series. I found it most necessary to read book one, Death of the Body, to understand the progression of events through Death of the Spirit.

Mr. Chiantaretto is a master of the dark suspense.

His characters are well developed and the worlds that they inhabit are filled with details that only a master could supply. My attention is sometimes difficult to hold when making my way through several volumes, but with the Crossing Death series, and especially Death of the Spirit I found myself unwilling to put the books down and lost sleep during the days that I was focused on what would happen next!

Mr. Chiantaretto has a fangirl for life and I know that the next volume(s) will be as eloquently penned as his current works are.

I definitely recommend Death of the Spirit by Rick Chiantaretto, and Death of the Body as well, as give five dark and powerful cups of Room With Books coffee.

Don't wait to pick up a copy. Stop what you are doing and get Death of the Body and Death of the Spirit and you'll be hooked as well!

Wonderful

Death of The Spirit is the follow up to the amazing book Death of The Body, and after reading it I am happy to say that it's just as entertaining as the first.

This book pulls you in right from the start and doesn't want to let you go. Even once it's over, this is the kind of story that leaves you speechless and constantly thinking about what might come next.

Normally with books you have an idea what what's going on or what's going to happen, but with this story there are so many different twists and turns that leave you not knowing whats going to happen next. It was refreshing to read a story like that.

One of the big things that I love about the way this author writes, is how he took this character of Edmund and uses him to give you that lead that you love and are willing to follow through anything, and then give him this huge twist that leaves you reeling but still willing to follow him through that as well as anything else that comes his way.

This book, like the first one before it, is a truly wonderful read, and I can't wait until I get the chance to read the third one and find out what is going to come next for these wonderfully written characters.

The demons there will suit your fancy

Have you ever struggled to write a review simply because you felt there weren’t enough words in the universe that could describe how fantastic a book really is? I am having that problem with Death of the Spirit. There’s so much I want to say, but the words just don’t seem to do the book justice. I’m going to try again because I seriously need someone to understand just how much I loved this book! There’s something about Rick’s writing that abductions the reader and transports them to a world of beauty with horror scattered around, leaving you with pure morbid fascination. The darkness consumes you but trust me, you will love it! Rick is a master at fine tuning details which results in brilliantly clear visuals that will leave you in awe.

Death of the Spirit starts and ends with one hell of a bang! Many of my favorite characters from the first book (Death of the Body) made an appearance, two of which I never expected to see again! What I enjoyed most about this book was Edmund’s internal struggle. There is a fine line between good and evil and he is walking dead on it. I’m curious to see which way the scale will tip for him… he’s determined to do whatever it takes… but does he realize what’s at stake? There’s love, war, friendship, and hell all in one…what more does a reader need?!

Come to the dark side, my friends, the demons there will suit your fancy.

Fr�d�ric Lantelme developed the use of appropriate stable and radioactive isotope indicators to study the properties of ionic media oriented toward industrial applications (Aluminium, fluorine, refractory metals). He has actively participated to the pioneering work of numerical simulation of ionic media. He received the Pierre S�e award of the French Chemical Society.

Henri Groult is deeply involved in fundamental studies about the reaction mechanism of fluorine evolution in KF-2HF, this gas being used for the synthesis of UF6 which allows the uranium enrichment. He develops also original routes in molten salts for the preparation of compounds (carbon, Sn-based alloys…) which are used as electrode materials in Li-ion battery.

About the Author
Henri Groult is Director of Research of CNRS-UPMC-ESPCI UMR 7612, University of Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris 6) in France. He has devoted his research life to fluorine chemistry, electrochemistry, and molten salt chemistry. His main research subjects are electrolytic production of fluorine gas, fluorine compounds for primary and secondary lithium batteries, and electrochemical properties of molten fluorides and chlorides. He has obtained interesting results on fluorine evolution reaction on carbon electrodes, discharge behavior of carbon-fluorine compounds, charge/discharge characteristics of metal fluorides, and electrochemical properties of molten salts. On these subjects, he published more than 100 papers and 7 books. His activity has played an important role in fluorine chemistry in France. He has served as Director of the French Network of Fluorine, Chairman of the 17th European Symposium on Fluorine Chemistry (Paris, July 2013), and Editorial board of J. Fluorine Chemistry.

This book is both instructive and a delight to read. How does it compare with similar books? There are no similar books. It is unique. Those who read and use this carefully written and illustrated book will emerge wiser and more skillful at interpreting one of the most interesting and most useful investigations at our disposal. I believe that the reader of this book will enjoy getting to grips with the chest X-ray and, in the process, become a better practitioner. This book is good value and would be useful for medical students, junior doctors, clinical nurses, physiotherapists and all those practitioners in primary care.

This is a very useful and brief guide to interpreting the chest X-ray, aimed primarily at medical students and junior doctors. Like all good teachers, the authors have succeeded in making interpretation of the chest X-ray very simple and logical. They have dispensed with some confusing old-fashioned terminology and in the process helped to demystify the interpretation of the chest film. This is a concise, well-written, well-illustrated and, most importantly, pocket-sized book which medical students and junior doctors should find extremely useful.

Academic Radiology

While this pocket guide is certainly not all encompassing,it is a handy resource for medical students and beginning house staff. It can easily be read before a new rotation or service. It is not detailed or extensive enough for radiology residents who will be better served by a reference text, but the goal set forth by the authors is to provide students and beginning clinical house staff with a quick review of chest film interpretation and provide examples of commonly encountered chest radiograph abnormalities. The authors have made an excellent job of presenting the chest radiograph in a simple and concise format that should prove a firm foundation for someone starting out in clinical medicine. This little book will hopefully encourage the reader to search out more comprehensive texts without a sense of dread.

Intensive and Critical Care Nursing

This small and informative text is an absolute must for all nurses practising in an intensive or high dependency care environment. I can find little to criticize about this book and will certainly be recommending it to both my under and postgraduate clinical students as a required text.

I did not get my money's worth. The book appears as if it was photocopied, the images are very poor. I cannot identify any image clearly. the was a great loss from me.i am very disappointed. this is a first because i always buy books on amazon and i have never encountered anything like this before
